      Bringing Up Baby

Not so much over rated as a One Off. Even the director said he would never do another film in which every character is zany - but in this one case it works, pushing it right to the edge. A fun film to watch every other year or two. I think it is Grant and Hepburn that make it work, not sure any other casting would have. But then there are people who love The Three Stooges and the Marx Brothers, and I can not manage more than a trailer of either. Bringing Up Baby should carry the warning: Don't try this unless you are Capra and have Grant and Hepburn under contract.

Greatest Close Encounter with a Star Ever
      Close Encounters
Okay, short of carnal knowledge of your favorite celebrity I'm pretty sure I've got you beat when it comes to close encounters of the Hollywood kind. Way back in the late 80s, Jimmy Stewart kissed me on the lips in fromt of an auditorium full of college students... while on his hands and knees! He was older than my granfather, but I didn't care. I was in heaven!

This may be blasphamy for some, but I thin Bringing Up Baby is way over-rated. There. I've said it. Convince me I'm wrong.
