When I was a kid growing up in Santa Cruz there were actually quite a few theaters that catered to old movies - The Sash Mill was one, another downtown near the Rio which I can't remember the name of, The Nickelodian and THe Capitola Theatre which was literally feet away from the crashing surf. When I was going there it was a second run play house, the kind that showed films after their initial runs. But as time went by it became more of an old movie house. Sadly, it was sold within the past decade and made into a restaurant. Even though it's been years since I saw a movie there I'm gonna miss that theater.
