Taking place May 31 - June 3 at Paramount Studios in Hollywood, California, Cine Gear features 300 exhibits, new product and service introductions, 30+ complimentary seminars led by industry leaders, master classes, film competition, awards ceremony, special screenings in state of the art theaters, and ample opportunity to network with peers within a studio environment. Free registration ends midnight, May 26 at 11:59pm Pacific time. After that time, a $30.00 CASH fee will apply to all new registrants, payable at the door.
Settle into your seat on Thursday afternoon and watch the impressive lineup of finalists in all three 2018 Film Series Screenings categories. Student Shorts, Indy Shorts and Music Video/Commercial. What a great start to an action packed weekend of events! All screenings take place at the Sherry Lansing Theater 8. Independent Short Finalists are on Thursday, May 31st. Music Video Finalists screen Thursday, May 31st, and Student Short Finalists are presented Thursday, May 31st. Purchase single tickets or a Film Series Pass for all screenings for $25.00.
Friday, June 1, the Awards Party takes place for the Winners of the Film Competition, Cinematography Lifetime Achievement, and Technical Lifetime Achievement Award at the Paramount Theater at 8:00 pm. A VIP Reception will follow. Tickets for the awards party must be purchased separately.
A series of seminars and panel discussions will be conducted by some of the most distinguished members of the American Society of Cinematographers, the International Cinematographers Guild, the Society of Camera Operators and many more. There's also a Master Class Lighting Workshop Sunday, June 3. With this seminar you are in for a treat. Some incredibly talented cinematographers will share their knowledge and enthusiasm for the craft. You'll have artists demonstrating and discussing techniques while problem solving skills on the spot.
