The AFI Archive Unlocks Hollywood History

For more than 50 years, AFI has painstakingly collected and recorded interviews with thousands of Hollywood filmmakers working at the pinnacle of their profession, from Bette Davis and Frank Capra to Cicely Tyson and Steven Spielberg, and many more – all part of the countless materials in the AFI Archive.

This month, AFI sat down with leading film historians Jeanine Basinger and Sam Wasson to talk with them about their new book “Hollywood: The Oral History,” featuring a treasure trove of interviews directly from the AFI Archive. Learn more about their discoveries and why the AFI Archive is a vital resource for cinematic preservation by using the picture below as a link.
