A TCM Backlot Guest Programmer Q&A was recently held and moderated by classic film fan Louis Jordan. Humberto Martinez (2017), Kristina Kingsley (2018) and I (2019) had a great time talking about our experiences in Atlanta at the home studio for Turner Classic Movies where we were treated like royalty. We are the only three people who have had the honor of this particular guest programmer distinction, and due to network changes, may very well be the only ones ever . As "Backlot" guest programmers, TCM devoted a whole evening to films selected and introduced by one of us as we sat across from host Ben Mankiewicz and shared our thoughts on why these particulars films matter so much.
